title. La Pesée des Coeurs, a collaboration with Nini Ayach and music by Eto Maï. Funded by FSDIE Paris 8 and CROUS Creteil.  Two giant puppets, figures of mythological mediators, Anubis (Egyptian god of the afterlife) and a semi-human creature, accompany the public on a journey between the worlds of the living and the dead. Inspired by Egyptian mythology, Anubis weighs the heart of the creature in a giant scale, with Ma’at, goddess of justice.  Taking the form of a funerary rite, the performance questions the disturbing ambiguity of puppets, both animate and inanimate, living and dead.

This spring, Nini and I got to work on a new giant puppetry project, where we had a residency at Jardin d'Alice art space in Montreuil. The project went through may changes and transformations, and received financial support for materials and tools (which has been super-useful), and had its first show in June at the Festival des Murs à Pêches. We've performed at many festivals and performances around Montreuil since then.

date. (2017-Ongoing), France.
