title. Rubayat El Nil (Artistic Director in Performance of shadow puppetry /Banha Puppetry Troupe /funded by British Council ( Egypt ) and The Pollination Project ( International organization ). Rubayat El Nil is a series of short vignettes portraying the struggles of those who make a living off the land in the face of climate change and increasing environmental degradation. A fisherman's catch is tainted by industrial wastes poisoning the fish and those who consume them. A farmer is displaced from her land by rampant urbanization. These stories attempt to capture a snapshot of the lives of victims of climate change in Egypt's Nile Delta, conveying a mix of both frustration, persistence and optimism.
